Velavadar stood out as a global highlight—one of the world’s most important communal harrier roosting sites, where hundreds of harriers gather at dusk, offering an unforgettable wildlife spectacle.

• 19 Jungle Cats
• 5 Wild Dogs (Dholes)

One of the standout moments of our West India trip was a fantastic sighting of the Forest Wagtail, undoubtedly one of the mega species of the tour. Always elusive and never guaranteed, this elegant bird rewarded our efforts with prolonged, close views as it moved gracefully across the forest floor, constantly wagging its long tail. With temperatures dropping, I’m seeing some spec

With temperatures dropping, I’m seeing some species much lower than their usual range. Today I observed few flocks of Yellow-breasted Greenfinches feeding in mustard fields, a species normally found around 1,500 m elevation, now appearing as low as 500 m.
Winter movement is clearly pushing birds down from higher elevations, and some species even move further south from the Himalayan foothills. These seasonal shifts are always fascinating to witness.
