Monsoon Magic Birding 2025

During our recent tour with Howard Laidlaw Peter Boesman Birding9 Tours, we were delighted by a tiny jewel of the forest – the Pale-billed Flowerpecker (Dicaeum erythrorhynchos).
India’s smallest passerine, this restless little bird darted between mistletoe berries and figs, showing off its pale bill and rapid, toy-like movements. Spotted in Himalayan foothills on a drizzly morning, it reminded us how the monsoon brings life to every branch and leaf.
